Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 28, 2026
Breaking Through Boundaries respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect through our website, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
We may collect information that you voluntarily provide when you contact us, nominate a Boundary Breaker, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with our website. This may include your name, email address, phone number, relationship to a nominee, and the information you choose to include in a message or nomination.
Boundary Breaker nominations may also include information about the person being nominated, such as their name, age or age range, general location, achievements, interests, and other details shared by the person submitting the nomination.
We use information submitted through our website to respond to inquiries, review Boundary Breaker nominations, communicate with nominators, operate and improve our programs, and further the mission of Breaking Through Boundaries.
We do not sell personal information.
Boundary Breaker Nominations
Submitting a nomination does not grant Breaking Through Boundaries permission to publish the nominee's name, story, photograph, or other identifying information.
If a nominee is selected for recognition, Breaking Through Boundaries will seek appropriate consent before publishing their story or photograph. Additional information or materials may be requested as part of that process.
Stories, Photographs & Recognition
Stories, photographs, and other materials displayed on our website or social media may be used to celebrate Boundary Breakers and further our nonprofit mission. Appropriate permission will be obtained before a nominee's identifying information, story, or photograph is published.
Permission to publish may be handled separately from the initial nomination process.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers when reasonably necessary to operate our website, forms, communications, or nonprofit activities. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of Breaking Through Boundaries or others.
How We Protect Information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information in our care. However, no website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children and Minors
Our website is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children under 13.
If a Boundary Breaker nomination involves a minor, appropriate consent will be obtained from a parent or legal guardian before the minor's identifying information, story, or photograph is published.
Third-Party Services and Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services, including social media platforms. Breaking Through Boundaries is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services. We encourage visitors to review their privacy policies when leaving our website.
Your Choices
You may contact us if you have questions about personal information you have submitted through our website or wish to request that information be corrected or deleted, subject to any information we are required or permitted to retain.
